Karren Colbert
Prior to starting Write Brained Learning, Karren spent time as a fourth grade teacher, reading teacher, and an instructional coach. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Curriculum and Instruction degree, also from the University of Missouri. In 2005, Karren was recognized as the University of Missouri Alumni Association’s Outstanding Young Professional. Karren works with teachers across the country and also presents at state and national conferences. Additionally, she works as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Missouri.
Beth Moreira
Beth Moreira has 34 years experience educating children and mentoring educators. Beth’s classroom experience includes Kindergarten and first grade. She also taught Title 1 reading and served as a Mentor Teacher on the Independence School District's Teacher Support Team. Mrs. Moreira holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Science in Elementary Education degree from the University of Central Missouri. Beth also received National Board Certification in 2003. She continues to share her love for teaching and learning with her two beautiful grandchildren.
